Use
1. Solvent
DBE has the characteristics of high boiling point, long distillation range, good solubility, low volatility, low toxicity of the product environmental protection, safe use, long storage life, in paint, ink and other industries to replace the toxicity, odor stimulation of isoferone and a variety of high boiling point ether solvents.
2. used in all kinds of coatings
In wood coatings, DBE has a wide distillation range, greater flexibility and selectivity in solvent formulation and construction conditions, and because of its high boiling point, long distillation range, can help regulate the evaporation rate.
(DBE) is a mixture of dibasic acid esters, also known as divalent acid esters. Is a low toxicity, slightly aromatic, biodegradable environmental protection high boiling solvent, widely used in coating industry and other fields.
The DBE family consists of dimethyl succinate, dimethyl glutarate, dimethyl adipate and their mixtures in varying proportions.
In production, methanol is first reacted with mixed dibasic acid and then separated into different products by distillation. Under the control of advanced process flow, the moisture content, methanol content and acid value of the MADE are very low, and it has a crystal clear luster.
2 ch3oh + COOH (CH2) nCOOH - CH3O2C nCO2CH3 + 2 h2o (CH2)
When n=2, the product is dimethyl succinate. When n=3, the product is dimethyl glutarate. When n=4, the product is dimethyl adipic
Chemical Properties:
DBE products are very stable at the usual temperature and humidity, and have typical properties of ester functional groups, including saponification and hydrolysis reactions. Transesterification reactions are mainly used to convert ester products into useful plasticizers and other polyester products.
